NCLR: HEALTHCARE IS CARING
As harmful legislation preventing transgender healthcare continues to be passed across the country, we took on this pro-bono project to help the National Center for Lesbian Rights (NCLR) advocate for healthcare for transgender youth.
Our campaign showed that transgender healthcare, just like any other form of essential care, can save lives and enable people to thrive.
At the center of the campaign was a moving film, featuring three real families and spotlighting the importance of a supportive parent or legal guardian in the lives of transgender kids.
At HealthcareIsCaring.org, people could learn more about the families in our film and find helpful resources, including accurate media coverage as well as information from every major medical association recognizing transgender healthcare as the standard of care, which is safe and effective and has been provided to transgender adolescents for decades.
To date, the campaign has driven media coverage via The Advocate and The Drum, as well as social conversation among a variety of influencers and organizations.
